Paul Gronke, Director

Paul Gronke, DirectorFor more than two decades, Gronke has been engaged in research on electoral behavior and public opinion. His scholarly credentials include extensive experience with social science research design and quantitative methodology. He has published one university press book, book chapters, and more than a dozen peer-reviewed articles. Gronke is well-versed in public outreach, serving as a commentator on local television and radio and writing opinion pieces for regional and national papers. He is experienced in disseminating information to large and diverse audiences, and has extensive connections in the scholarly community with prominent experts on the issues of voting administration, voting technology, and early voting. Eva Galanes-Rosenbaum, Associate Director

Eva Galanes-Rosenbaum, Associate DirectorGalanes-Rosenbaum has extensive experience with election canvassing, geographic information systems, and working with local election officials and secretaries of state through her work for EVIC. She graduated with a BA in Political Science from Reed College in May 2006. Her senior thesis, "Escalator of Doom: De-escalation in European Nationalist Terrorist Organizations", used comparative methods to examine the de-escalation in violence of three European terrorist groups with nationalist goals. (A copy of it can be found in the Reed College library.) Eva will be continuing her study of Europe and International Relations in the fall of 2008 as she pursues a Masters degree.

Peter Miller, Research Director

Peter Miller, Research DirectorAs Research Director, Peter Miller is primarily responsible for statistical analyses in the course of the Center's research agenda. He is a 2006 graduate of Reed College (with a BA in Political Science). His interests include election systems, transitional justice and state violence.

James Hicks, Research Assistant

James holds a BA in Political Science from Reed College and an UGDip in American Studies from the University of Nottingham. His academic interests include democratic theory and American history, in addition to contemporary public opinion and political participation.

Bailey Schreiber, Research Assistant

The newest member of the team, Bailey is a Reed sophomore studying for a degree in Political Science.
