Texas maintains early and absentee voting statistics for the the most populous 15 counties during its early voting period. These counties, though only 15 out of 254, account for 8 million of the (approximately) 13 million registered voters in Texas. The counties included cover all the major cities (Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Austin, El Paso) and their metropolitan areas (though they undoubtedly have an urban bias). Even without these missing data, we can discern very high levels of early in-person voting for the Democrats; cumulative returns have already surpassed the 2004 total.
